Jeanine Pirro is thanking Whoopi Goldberg after the Fox News host’s new book shot up to the #1 spot on the Amazon and Barnes & Noble best-seller lists following her explosive interview with Goldberg, a “The View” co-host.
“I do want to thank Whoopi and the ladies of ‘The View’ for helping to make my book ‘Liars, Leakers, and Liberals: The Case Against the Anti-Trump Conspiracy’ hit No. 1 on Amazon and Barnes & Noble,” Pirro, host of “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” which airs weekends on Fox News, said on Saturday night.
“So go out and get a copy if you haven’t already.”
Pirro, a staunch supporter of President Trump, and Goldberg, a vocal critic, engaged in a heated debate over Trump last Thursday that extended to backstage after the segment and included the two women throwing expletives at each other. The spat grabbed major headlines for days afterward, with the extra publicity fueling the Pirro book’s rise.
Pirro on Saturday also extended an olive branch to Goldberg, stating the two have known each other for a long time while offering to “agree to disagree.”
“I’ve known Whoopi Goldberg for years and our relationship, until this week, has always been friendly,” Pirro said. “I’ve been a guest on ‘The View’ many times before, and was always treated with respect.”
“Whoopi, I accept that you and I have different views on what happened both on and off the air,” she continued. “We have completely different takes on President Trump and the job he’s doing.”
“So let’s agree to disagree and put this episode to bed, once and for all,” she concluded.
Goldberg, who is best known for her starring roles in “Ghost” and “The Color Purple,” was named moderator of “The View” in 2007.
Pirro, a former county judge, prosecutor and syndicated court show host, joined Fox in 2006 and was given her own weekend program in 2011.
