Netflix won’t stream Farrakhan documentary

Netflix will not stream a documentary about the music career of controversial Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.

The documentary, “Let’s Change the World: My Life’s Journey Through Music,” was set to become available on Netflix as of Aug. 1, according to a tweet from Farrakhan that has since been deleted.

A Netflix spokesperson explained to Fox News that the film was not supposed to be streamed at all, but announcements about the film coming to Netflix went up on various platforms because of an “internal miscommunication.”

“We apologize for any confusion this has caused,” the spokesperson added.

The trailer for the film can still be found on Farrakhan’s Facebook page.

Farrakhan has become notorious for his homophobic and anti-Semitic comments. Twitter stripped him of his verified status earlier this year after he called Jewish people “Satanic.”

Farrakhan tweeted out a statement from the Nation of Islam on the cancellation, which speculates that “outside forces” might have had a hand in the documentary’s removal “at the 11th hour.
