‘Fox & Friends’ to air exclusive Trump interview

“Fox & Friends” co-host Ainsley Earhardt will sit down with President Trump this Thursday for a one-on-one interview, according to a Tuesday announcement from the network.

“During the one-on-one interview, the president will discuss the top news headlines of the day, including midterms, foreign policy and immigration,” reads the announcement regarding the Fox News morning show appearance.

Trump has lauded “Fox & Friends” on numerous occasions since taking office and reportedly watches the program on a regular basis.

{mosads}The president has appeared on Fox News or Fox Business more than two dozen times since taking office 19 months ago, including most recently on July 16 and 17 with prime-time hosts Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson, respectively, following the Helsinki, Finland, summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Trump has been somewhat more active in granting other news organizations more interviews in recent weeks, including Reuters on Monday, CBS News on July 18 and ABC News on June 12.

The president has not appeared on cable news rivals CNN since August 2016 and MSNBC since May 2016.
