Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on Monday opened their MSNBC show by calling President Trump a “baby” and saying he was “unfit” in response to Trump’s interview on “60 Minutes” that aired Sunday night.
During the interview, the president defended his knowledge of the situation on the Korean peninsula and defended his relationship with North Korea leader Kim Jung Un adding, “Sure. I know all these things, I’m not a baby.”
Scarborough targeted those comments as “Morning Joe” came on the air on Monday.
“I don’t get the baby thing,” Scarborough said, before quoting Trump’s comments from the interview. “ ‘Oh, I’m not a baby.’ ”
{mosads}”Well, he wants to make it clear to you that he’s not a baby,” Brzezinski replied to Scarborough regarding Trump’s comment.
“I know, but why does he always do that?” Scarborough asked.
“That and he’s the president,” Brzezinski added. “He wanted to make those things clear.”
“He’s a baby president,” Scarborough muttered, causing Brzezinski to laugh as she turned her focus to opening the show.
Both Scarborough and Brzezinski have been frequent critics and targets for Trump.
Scarborough last month said in an opinion piece that Trump was a greater threat to America than terrorism.
Last November, the president took aim at the host by calling for an investigation into the 2001 death of an intern to Scarborough when he was GOP congressman.
