GOP pollster Kristen Soltis Anderson to host new program on Sirius XM
SiriusXM will launch a new show on Saturday hosted by ABC News political contributor and prominent pollster Kristen Soltis Anderson, The Hill has learned.
Anderson’s show will air on SiriusXM P.O.T.U.S. and will be titled, “The Trendline with Kristen Soltis Anderson.” It will air Saturdays from 10-11 a.m. EST beginning Nov. 10.
{mosads}A source close to the show says the launch program on Saturday is expected to take a deep dive into Tuesday’s midterm elections and analyze what went right and wrong from a polling perspective, as well as what could be learned from the results that saw Democrats take back the House and Republicans hold onto the Senate.
Anderson, 34, was once named to TIME’s list of “30 Under 30 Changing the World.” She has written for the Washington Examiner, Daily Beast and Politico, among other publications. She appears regularly on Fox News, CNN and MSNBC.
The University of Florida and Johns Hopkins University graduate is also of the author of “The Selfie Vote: Where Millennials Are Leading America (And How Republicans Can Keep Up).”
SiriusXM has recently signed some notable names from the media world to host their own programs on the satellite service, including CNN’s Chris Cuomo and ABC’s Dan Abrams.
When contacted by The Hill, Sirius confirmed the hiring of Anderson, calling her a “terrific addition” to Sirius’s news coverage.
“Kristen has an incredible ability to make polling and data accessible and interesting to a broad audience,” said Megan Liberman, senior vice president of news, talk, and entertainment at SiriusXM. “Her insights into the public’s views on politics and social issues and her expertise on the Millennial generation will be terrific additions to SiriusXM’s news coverage.”
