Trump sounds ‘cognitively impaired’ every time he speaks: Scarborough

Former President Trump sounds “cognitively impaired” when he speaks, MSNBC pundit Joe Scarborough said Monday.

“He’s talking about Joe Biden being cognitively impaired, he looks cognitively impaired,” Scarborough said on his morning talk program. “I don’t know that either of them are cognitively impaired. They get tired sometimes.”

The host was reacting to comments Trump made during a speech Friday in Washington.

Trump, during the speech, blasted President Biden over his age, saying, “we have a man who is totally corrupt and the worst president in the history of our country, who is cognitively impaired, in no condition to lead, and is now in charge of dealing with Russia and possible nuclear war.”

Scarborough scoffed at Trump’s assertion.

“Donald Trump thinks we’re about to start World War II; Joe Biden thinks the Ukraine is Iraq; I mean, you know, you get tired, you get confused. It happens,” the host said. “It happens to both sides. But, you know, the question is … are they going to keep talking about Joe Biden being cognitively impaired when Donald Trump sounds cognitively impaired every time he talks … “

Trump and Biden would be the two oldest candidates to ever face off in a presidential election if they both win their parties nomination next year.

Some Democrats and defenders of the White House have suggested a double standard exists on the question of age and competence between Biden and Trump.
