Megyn Kelly says she’s ‘definitely’ returning to TV
Former NBC and Fox News host Megyn Kelly says she’ll “definitely” be back on TV this year in an on-the-street interview in New York on Thursday night.
“Will we see back on TV this year?” asked a TMZ reporter.
“You’ll definitely see me back on,” Kelly said while walking with her husband, author Douglas Brunt.
{mosads}Kelly and NBC News essentially parted ways in October after she discussed blackface as a costume for Halloween and stated during a panel discussion it was fine when she was growing up if it was done as a character.
An online backlash quickly ensued, prompting Kelly to apologize twice, both in a letter to colleagues and on-air. NBC canceled “Megyn Kelly Today” a short time later. Exit negotiations are still ongoing.
The former “Kelly File” host jumped from Fox News to NBC News in January 2017 for a reported $69 million over three years.
She’s expected to receive $30 million, the full remaining value of her contract, when she finalizes her exit negotiations, and is also expected to be free to go to any other network.
