Fox News launches vertical focusing on antisemitism
Fox News has launched a new online vertical focused on stories dealing with antisemitism amid the ongoing Israeli-Hamas war.
The vertical, which features a webpage with the banner headline “Antisemitism Exposed,” was filled Wednesday with articles and headlines relating to the political and cultural fallout of the Oct. 7 attack on Israel by Hamas.
“Jewish Americans flock to gun stores as antisemitic violence surges nationwide,” one headline declared.
“House votes to censure Rashida Tlaib over anti-Israel comments,” another read.
Since the war between Israel and Hamas began, many major national media organizations have been devoting hours of airtime and significant ink to the ongoing violence overseas and the rise in religious-based hate incidents in the United States, on both sides of the conflict, that have popped up since.
On Fox, most of the punditry and opinion programming has been staunchly pro-Israel, with leading host Jesse Watters drawing fire from the White House last week over comments about Hamas and the Middle East.
A recent New York Times report found an increasing number of Jewish viewers were turning to Fox, the top-watched cable news channel, for its coverage of the war, with some citing a feeling of alienation by other outlets on the issue.
