Gillibrand to appear on Fox News Monday night
Presidential hopeful Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) will appear on Fox News’s “Special Report” Monday night.
She’ll be interviewed by Chris Wallace, who will fill in for anchor Bret Baier.
Gillibrand will discuss her presidential bid and her effort to establish a permanent authorization for a compensation fund for victims of the 9/11 terrorist attack. She is expected to unveil legislation authorizing the permanent fund on Monday before the interview airs.
Her appearance follows CNN interviews with Sens. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) as well former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, who may launch an independent bid.
Klobuchar appeared on Baier’s program last week.
Gillibrand is competing for the Democratic nomination in a crowded field that also includes Sens. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.)
