Anderson Cooper signs two-book deal: report

CNN’s Anderson Cooper has signed a two-book deal that includes plans to collaborate with historian-novelist Katherine Howe, according to a Tuesday Associated Press report. 

Cooper, 51, who serves as the anchor of “Anderson Cooper 360°” as well as a correspondent for “60 Minutes” on CBS, will collaborate with Howe, best known for penning novels on the Salem witch trials from the 17th century. 

{mosads}The first of Cooper’s two books is slated for publication in 2022, according to publisher Harper Collins. It is not known what the books will be about, but Fortune magazine reported they will be of the nonfiction variety. 

Cooper last had a book published in 2016, a collaboration with his mother, fashion designer Gloria Vanderbilt titled “The Rainbow Comes and Goes: A Mother and Son On Life, Love, and Loss.” The book went on to become a New York Times best-seller. 

Before joining CNN in 2001, Cooper served as a correspondent for ABC News.
