Mark Levin calls Mueller a ‘coward’

Conservative commentator Mark Levin late Sunday blasted special counsel Robert Mueller as a “coward” for failing to conclude whether President Trump obstructed justice and for continuing his investigation for two years.

“Not only was it a cop-out, I think [Mueller] was a coward,” Levin said on Fox News, arguing that Mueller “didn’t have a case” against Trump.

{mosads}In a letter to leaders of the House and Senate judiciary committees summarizing Mueller’s principal conclusions earlier Sunday, Attorney General William Barr said Mueller did not find evidence of criminal collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia.

Barr added that he and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein determined that there was not sufficient evidence to bring an obstruction of justice charge against Trump.

“The Special Counsel states that ‘while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him,'” Barr said in his letter.

Levin also criticized Mueller for not subpoenaing Trump or taking him to federal court to solve the issue of obstruction.

“He didn’t pull the trigger on this … because he didn’t have probable cause,” Levin said.

“I do not respect this prosecutor at all. … It took him two years to tell us there was no collusion? Two years?”

Levin added that Mueller should have announced the conclusions of his investigation “months ago.”

“He should have come to the microphone and told the American people months ago that there was no collusion,” he said. “To drag a president of the United States through this?”

Levin also blasted the investigation as “utterly unethical.”

Lawmakers in both parties are pushing for a full public release of the report. Barr has said that the Justice Department will determine what parts of the report can be released to the public.
