For the first time, women run all three major network morning shows

Three of the major network morning programs have female executive producers for the first time in history.

The historic first came on Thursday with Diana Miller’s official appointment as the executive producer of “CBS This Morning.” Miller has been filling in as executive producer for the network after Ryan Kadro left the show several months ago.

ABC brought on Roxanna Sherwood as executive producer of the network’s “Good Morning America” back in 2017, and Libby Leist began as the executive producer of NBC’s “Today” show a year later.{mosads}

According to CNN, Miller has played a significant role in the CBS morning program’s recent slate of high-profile interviews with Gayle King.

She co-executive produced King’s widely acclaimed interview with R. Kelly earlier this year.
