Whoopi Goldberg explodes on report Trump avoided paying taxes due to losses: ‘I’m pissed!’

Whoopi Goldberg said she was “pissed” Wednesday about a New York Times report that said President Trump didn’t pay income taxes for a number of years because of losses his businesses took beginning in the 1980s.

“I can’t decide if he’s a fraud or a loser,” the co-host of “The View” said on the ABC program.

“He didn’t pay taxes for 10 years. How do you get away without paying — I’m sorry. I’m pissed!” Goldberg exclaimed to applause from the live New York City studio audience.

{mosads}Co-host Sunny Hostin noted Trump’s past failures in business, including the Trump Shuttle airline service and Trump University.

“When I look at his track record, Joy, I think he’s a fraud and a loser,” she said.

“He’s two treats in one!” co-host Joy Behar injected.

“I don’t mind a failure,” Goldberg said after some cross-talk. “I mind a scam.”

Earlier Wednesday, Trump defended himself on Twitter, arguing that New York real estate developers in the 1980s and 1990s were entitled to “massive write offs and depreciation which would, if one was actively building, show losses and tax losses in almost all cases,” adding that much of the losses were “non monetary.”

“Sometimes considered ‘tax shelter,’ you would get it by building, or even buying,” Trump tweeted to his roughly 60 million followers. “You always wanted to show losses for tax purposes … almost all real estate developers did – and often re-negotiate with banks, it was sport.”

The president added the “very old information” released by the Times was done to serve as a “highly inaccurate Fake News hit job!”
