Buck, Himes to be featured on debut of NewsNation’s ‘The Hill Sunday’
Two lawmakers from opposing parties in Congress will be interviewed as part of the inaugural episode of “The Hill Sunday” on NewsNation.
NewsNation political editor Chris Stirewalt will talk with Rep. Jim Himes (D-Ct.) on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s nuclear warning to the West, election security, and the U.S.’ role in conflicts abroad.
Stirewalt will also interview Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.), who late last year announced he would retire from Congress.
The show’s first panel discussion will feature Christine Rosen of the American Enterprise Institute, Editor-in-Chief of The Hill Bob Cusack, Senior Writer at The Dispatch David Drucker and David Swerdlick, a Senior Staff Editor for the New York Times opinion section.
Stirewalt, a former editor at Fox News, told The Hill this week his goal for the Sunday public affairs program is to avoid partisan screaming matches, which he called “doing it the hard way.”
“We could try to cut corners here and be the next partisan blowtorch, but we’re going to we’re going to take our time and do it in a way that we can be proud of,” Stirewalt said.
NewsNation is a cable news channel launched in 2021 by Nexstar Media Group, which also owns The Hill.
