Cuccinelli administers US naturalization citizenship ceremony for veterans on ‘Fox & Friends’

Citizenship and Immigrations Services Director Ken Cuccinelli administered a naturalization ceremony to 12 former members of the U.S. armed services live on “Fox & Friends” on Monday morning.

The 12 service members sworn in by Cuccinelli join more than 760,000 veterans who naturalized as U.S. citizens through military service, according to the Migration Policy Institute.

{mosads}The ceremony comes on the 100th anniversary of Veterans Day, which was established as Armistice Day by President Wilson on Nov. 11, 1919, one year after World War I ended.

Cuccinelli, a former attorney general in Virginia from 2010 to 2014, performed the ceremony outside of Fox News headquarters in New York City.
Overall, 2.4 million American veterans were not born in the U.S. or are the children of immigrants, according to the Migration Policy Institute. That represents about 13 percent of U.S. veterans.
President Trump is in New York City on Monday to speak at the annual Veterans Day Parade.
