Pelosi announced as lead guest on season premiere of ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is set to be the main guest on the 18th season premiere of “Real Time With Bill Maher,” HBO announced on Friday.

The announcement comes the same day that Pelosi said she will finally send the Senate the House-passed articles of impeachment against President Trump, which will no doubt be a primary point of discussion on the political talk show.

Also appearing on next Friday’s “Real Time” premiere will be Democratic 2020 presidential candidate Andrew Yang, a tech entrepreneur who has struggled in primary polls but gained significant attention over his push for a “universal basic income” of $1,000 a month.

And sitting alongside Maher as a panelist will be former Rep. Joe Walsh (Ill.), one the Republicans waging a long-shot effort to challenge Trump for the GOP nomination.

“Real Time” will air live on the East Coast at 10 p.m. next Friday.
