Megyn Kelly to appear on Bill Maher’s ‘Real Time’ on Friday

Former NBC News and Fox News host Megyn Kelly will appear on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher” on Friday night, marking the first time the former attorney-turned-journalist has been a guest on the progressive host’s program.

“Now this ought to be fun. This Friday,” wrote Kelly to her 2.4 million followers.

Kelly stayed out of the public spotlight for a year after parting ways with NBC in October 2018, but has done two interviews in the past few months with Fox News’s Tucker Carlson in October and PBS’s “Frontline” in December.

The former “Kelly File” and “Megyn Kelly Today” host also was the first to interview Ashley Bianco, who was fired by CBS in November for reportedly leaking a hot mic clip of ABC host Amy Robach. In a tearful interview, Bianco staunchly denied leaking the clip.

In the hot mic clip, Robach claims that she had a story about Jeffrey Epstein three years ago, but that the network quashed it.

Kelly posted the interview on her Instagram page and on YouTube.

“Megyn Kelly Presents” also posted a response to the movie “Bombshell,” which focuses on sexual harassment allegations against former Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes. The video has generated nearly 1.3 million views.

Charlize Theron’s portrayal of Kelly in the movie earned an Oscar nomination for best actress.

Theron later called Kelly’s reaction to the movie “validating.”
