Fox News to host coronavirus virtual town hall with Trump on Tuesday

Fox News Channel announced Monday it will host a two-hour virtual town hall with President Trump and other top members of the White House coronavirus task force on Tuesday at noon ET.

The event will be co-moderated by network anchors Harris Faulkner and Bill Hemmer, with contributions being made throughout by Fox News contributors Dr. Nicole Saphire, Dr. Marc Siegel and Dr. Mehmet Oz.

“Ahead of the town hall on March 24th, viewers will be able to submit their questions regarding the ongoing coronavirus pandemic to the president and the administration’s task force via FNC’s social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram,” reads the network announcement.

“At 12:30PM/ET, the president will join the forum to answer questions submitted from FNC viewers across the country,” it adds.

It is not known which members of the president’s task force will also appear.
Trump has appeared on Fox News and Fox Business 75 times for interviews since taking office while not appearing on cable news rivals CNN or MSNBC since August and May of 2016, respectively.

Coronavirus cases have soared in the U.S. to more than 35,000, and the death toll approaches 500, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.
