Fox News launching Spanish-language program
Fox News Media will this month launch a new daily one-hour Spanish-language program titled “Fox Noticias” focusing on issues impacting the Hispanic community, the company announced Tuesday.
“Fox Noticias” will be anchored by “Fox and Friends Weekend” co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy and air weekdays at 4 p.m. EDT on the company’s Spanish-language sports network, Fox Deportes. It will also be available in podcast form via Fox News Audio.
Fox News Digital is at the same time launching a Spanish-language version of the foxnews.com website beginning this week, which will be machine translated and feature breaking news reporting and signature commentary for the Hispanic audience.
The top-rated cable network, Fox said its data shows it carries 36 percent of the Hispanic cable news total viewing share and 45 percent of the 25-54 age demographic. The network also showed the most growth in Hispanic viewership for the most recent quarter, up 65 percent in total day viewers.
“Fox Noticias” will debut Oct. 15.
