NBA Commissioner Silver gave maximum contribution to Biden campaign
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver donated the maximum contribution permitted to former Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, according to data from the Federal Election Commission.
Silver, who replaced longtime commissioner David Stern in 2014, donated $2,800 to the presumptive Democratic nominee’s campaign last month.
Overall, Silver has donated more than $20,000 to various Democratic candidates and political action committees over the years, including former President Obama’s reelection campaign and Sen. Cory Booker’s (D-N.J.) presidential campaign in 2019.
The news drew the ire of some Republicans, including Sen. Josh Hawley (Mo.), who has criticized the NBA over its business in China, and Donald Trump Jr.
Of course he did. Now will Silver and the @NBA take the pledge to be #slavefree? https://t.co/eIA3EVkiug

The @NBA’s commissioner, who’s completely in bed with China, backs #BeijingBiden. Makes sense. Wonder if Hunter’s getting a cut like he usually does?
