Time changes logo on cover for first time to VOTE

Time magazine changed the logo on its cover for the first time ever to read VOTE for the publication’s double issue less than two weeks before the presidential election.

“Few events will shape the world to come more than the result of the upcoming U.S. presidential election,” Edward Felsenthal, Time’s editor-in-chief and CEO, wrote in a note to readers.

“As Americans decide if it’s time to reach for a reset button of our own, this issue includes a special report on the closing days of the 2020 campaign,” he added.

The issue, set to hit newsstands on Friday, also includes instructions on how to vote.

The artwork for the cover was drawn by graphic artist Shepard Fairey, who is best known for creating then-Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-Ill.) HOPE poster leading up to the 2008 presidential election.

President Trump has appeared on the cover of Time of 29 times dating back to his time as a real estate mogul and reality TV star. His most recent cover came in June 2019. It included the headline: “My whole life is a bet – Inside Trump’s plan to keep the White House.”
