Bidens to appear on ‘New Years Rockin’ Eve’
This year’s edition of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” on ABC will include guest appearances by President-elect Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden.
Seacrest shared the news Wednesday on “Good Morning America,” responding to a request for a reveal of surprises to come on Thursday night by saying that appearances will be made by “everybody that has had a hit this year.”
He listed off performances by Lewis Capaldi, Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, En Vogue, Billy Porter and Cindy Lauper before adding, “And then we’ll have the last interview of the year with President-elect Biden and future first lady Dr. Jill Biden.”
Not only will @NYRE have performances from @jlo, @theebillyporter, @LewisCapaldi and more — @ryanseacrest says it will also have the last interview of the year with President-elect Biden and future First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden! #RockinEvehttps://t.co/i9rZzYvW4s pic.twitter.com/7zAyinTPfe

The Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment announced earlier this month that its New Year’s Eve tradition will not include an in-person audience due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Safety of New Yorkers and participants is the priority of Times Square New Year’s Eve 2021,” the organization said at the time.
“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” will be broadcast and streamed live beginning at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
