Fox News revamps weekend breaking news show

Fox News has overhauled its weekend breaking news show, giving it a new name and fresh design.

“America’s News Headquarters” is now called “Fox News Live,” according to the cable outlet’s online schedule updated Friday.

Fox News confirmed that the name, look and feel for the entire program airing Saturday and Sunday afternoons has been revamped.

The show will continue to be hosted by Eric Shawn and Arthel Neville on Saturdays, 2-3 p.m. and 4-5 p.m. ET, and Sundays,12-1 p.m. and 4-5 p.m. ET.

The other times when “America’s News Headquarters” airs — Saturdays from 12-2 p.m. and Sundays from 1-2 p.m. — have also been rebranded as “Fox News Live.” Shawn and Neville are often the hosts for these time slots as well.

The brand “America’s News Headquarters” was launched in 2008, though the cable outlet has had a breaking news segment of some sort on the weekends since its inception. 

Ratings for Fox News have rebounded after a disappointing start to the year. Although CNN won January’s battle, Fox reasserted itself as a ratings leader in February, beating both CNN and MSNBC for prime-time total viewers.

Fox Corp. CEO Lachlan Murdoch said during a Morgan Stanley investors conference Thursday that he expects Fox’s reporting on President Biden to help its ratings improve and “we’ll do so for at least the next four years.”

On Tuesday, Fox News announced that former Trump White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany would be joining the network as a contributor.
