Late-night host James Corden tests positive for COVID-19
Late-night show host James Corden on Thursday became the latest among many TV personalities to announce they have tested positive for COVID-19.
“The Late Late Show” host shared the news to Instagram, writing, “I’m fully vaccinated, boosted, and because of this am fortunate enough to say I feel completely fine.”
As a result of his positive test, the CBS late-night show will be paused for the next few days, he said. Show repeats will run until it returns with new episodes on Jan. 18, Deadline reported.
Corden joins several other TV hosts who have recently contracted the coronavirus as the omicron variant spreads throughout the U.S.
“Today Show” anchor Hoda Kotb said Thursday she was “feeling good” despite her positive test, which her colleague Craig Melvin announced on-air earlier in the day.
Other late-night shows have also been affected by the latest COVID-19 surge, including NBC’s “Late Night” with Seth Meyers, which is also canceled this week.
“The bad news is, I tested positive for COVID (thanks, 2022!) the good news is, I feel fine (thanks vaccines and booster!),” Meyers wrote in a Tuesday tweet.
