Pickle taps Halbrooks to serve as deputy
Senate Sergeant at Arms Bill Pickle has tapped an attorney who oversaw his office’s investigation into leaked Judiciary Committee memos to serve as his deputy.
Lynne Halbrooks, who currently serves as Pickle’s general counsel, will take over for Keith Kennedy, who left the post to serve as the top aide to Appropriations Committee Chairman Thad Cochran (R-Miss.). Halbrooks previously served as deputy counsel to the director of the executive office for U.S. attorneys at the Justice Department.
"She will be a great addition to the executive management team of the sergeant-at-arms organization," Pickle said. "She enjoys bipartisan support – as evidenced by the accolades she received from both Republicans and Democrats during the memogate investigation."
