Officials say head injury caused Gillmor’s death
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Virginia said Friday that “accidental blunt head and neck trauma” caused the death of Rep. Paul Gillmor (R-Ohio).
The lawmaker’s staff found Gillmor in his Arlington townhouse Wednesday morning after he had not shown up for work. The state medical examiner’s statement said the injury was “consistent with a fall down stairs.”
Arlington County police and medical officials have investigated the townhouse and “found no evidence of foul play,” according to the statement.
