Craig returns to the Senate
Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho) returned to the nation’s capital Tuesday for the first time since he announced earlier this month that he would resign from the Senate.
{mosads}Craig is expected to cast votes this afternoon.
Asked whether he was optimistic that he would succeed in reversing the Minnesota guilty plea that upended his career, Craig said, “I have no opinion yet, but I’d like to be.”
In a brief interview with reporters, Craig also shot down speculation that his presence in the Senate suggests that he does not plan to resign as announced Sept. 30.
