Top Capitol Police executives step down
Two high-level executives resigned from the Capitol Police early this week.
Director of the Office of Financial Management Maryjean Buhler and Chief Administrative Officer Tony Stamilio both resigned in recent days, Capitol Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider confirmed Wednesday.
“[They] both informed Chief [Phillip] Morse of their decisions to seek other opportunities and move on to other challenges,” Schneider said.
Buhler joined the department in April 2001. Stamilio was appointed in May of 2004.
