USCP gives ‘all clear’ after Hart Building fire
The U.S. Capitol Police gave the “all clear” Wednesday afternoon following a fire in the Hart Senate Office Building that had led to the evacuation of hundreds of staffers.
{mosads}Capitol Police are investigating the cause of the fire, which occurred in the basement of the building, according to spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider.
Shortly after 1 p.m., the Hart and Dirksen Senate office buildings had been evacuated and fire trucks and an ambulance arrived at the scene.
