Sunday shows: Budget battle

After the House passed a spending bill early Saturday, the fight
ahead and the prospect of a government shutdown will dominate the Sunday
shows.

House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) will square off with ranking member Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) on “Face the Nation.”

upper chamber will have the same conversation on “Meet the Press,”
where Assistant Major Leader Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) is opposite Sen.
Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a member oft the Budget Committee. 
Deficit hawk Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) faces Sen.
Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) on “Fox News Sunday.” And, Sen. Chuck Schumer
(D-N.Y.) will discuss the budget CNN’s “State of the Union.” 
The standoff over the $3.6 billion budget gap in Wisconsin
is the centerpiece on “Fox News Sunday,” where Gov. Scott Walker (R) is
the guest. He proposed aggressive cuts to public worker benefits and
reining in collective bargaining rights, prompting input from President
Obama, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), and House Minority Leader
Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.). 
Taking the focus overseas, ABC’s “This Week”
interviews Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, who will address
developments in the Middle East and her approach to the Israel.
Senate Foreign Relations ranking member Sen. Dick Lugar
(R-Ind.) and former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld will also
discuss turmoil in the Middle East on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
