Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin might have a tougher time than
once thought if she were to take on Sen. Lisa Murkowski in a Republican primary
next year.
{mosads}A Dittman Research poll shows Murkowski leading this
year’s GOP vice presidential nominee in the hypothetical matchup, 57-33,
according to KTUU-TV in Anchorage.
That contrasts with a Research 2000 poll from
mid-December that showed Palin on top 55-31.
Palin has not shown any interest in running for Senate,
but it might be a good way to expand her national profile in advance of a
possible presidential run, and Murkowski has said she is prepared if it
happens.
Nine percent of voters said they were unsure whom they
would vote for.
