Obama, Clinton to campaign together

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) will campaign with former rival Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) on June 27, the two camps announced today.

The joint statement did not say where the two would hit the campaign trail, but promised that more details would be forthcoming.

{mosads}Clinton formally bowed out of the race for the Democratic nomination earlier this month after a drawn-out contest with Obama, who since then has taken steps to unify Democrats around his candidacy.

The Hill reported earlier this week that Clinton, a possible candidate for vice president, is not expected to return to the Senate until after the Independence Day recess.
