Pawlenty: Hilton’s response ‘pretty funny’

Possible GOP vice presidential contender and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty said Paris Hilton's response to John McCain’s campaign ad is “pretty funny.”

In the response, featured on the site funnyordie.com, Hilton repeatedly refers to McCain as an “old man,” and says she'll see both candidates “at the debates, b—–s.”

{mosads}Hilton is responding to a McCain ad that criticizes Democrat Barack Obama by questioning whether he is ready to lead and comparing him to celebrities Hilton and Britney Spears.

“She came back with a pretty funny response that will probably elevate her celebrity status,” Pawlenty said at the GOPAC conference in Rosslyn. He said he has “to give credit to Ms. Hilton.”

Pawlenty, considered a possible vice presidential candidate on a McCain ticket, said he thought McCain's original ad was a creative way to make a valid point.
