Roll call vote set for Wed. afternoon

DENVER — Supporters of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) will likely get their chance to vote for their vanquished candidate Wednesday afternoon.

Sen. Barack Obama's (D-Ill.) campaign and convention officials have scheduled an afternoon roll call vote and nominating speeches for the Democratic presidential nomination.
 
{mosads}Unofficial delegate tallies were being conducted at the state delegations' breakfasts Wednesday morning, and the 15-minute nominating speeches and subsequent vote, or votes, were scheduled to take place at the beginning of the Wednesday convention schedule between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. MDT.
 
What’s unclear is how many Clinton delegates, some still bitter about the loss to Obama during the Democratic primary, will try to take over the proceedings.
 
Obama and Clinton officials were planning to release further details including who would speak on the candidates' behalf, later Wednesday.
 
Clinton's headline speech Tuesday night was well-received by both the media and the Obama campaign as Obama officials desperately seek to quash any notion of party disunity, something frequently on display during the first two days of the convention.
