Former Trump aide joins Clinton-aligned firm

A top aide to President Trump’s campaign has joined a political consulting firm with deep ties to Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Jason Miller, a spokesman for Trump’s campaign and his communications adviser during the transition to the White House, has joined Teneo Strategy as a managing director, the firm announced Friday.

Miller was announced as the White House communications director but abruptly backed out of the job in December, saying he wanted to spend more time with his family.

{mosads}Now, Miller joins Teneo, a consulting firm founded by Doug Band, a longtime confidant of the Clintons.

Teneo has raised tens of millions of dollars for the Clinton Foundation.

A memo released by WikiLeaks last year revealed that the firm also acted as an in-house personal agency for Bill Clinton, arranging paid speeches and business arrangements that produced tens of millions of dollars for the former president.

Miller “brings more than two decades of strategic communications, reputation management, public relations, political and ad-making experience to Teneo,” the firm said in a statement.

“He has significant expertise advising major corporations across a wide range of areas including: crisis management, business strategy, media relations and issues management. He has also worked as an advisor to a number of senior political figures and campaigns.”
