London police have released the names of two of the three men shot dead by law enforcement Saturday night after the attack in the city’s Borough Market and on the London Bridge.
Police named Khuram Shazad Butt and Rachid Redouane as two of the three men in the ISIS-claimed attack, noting that “formal identification has yet to take place.” Both men are from east London.

Police said three men drove a van into a crowd of pedestrians on the bridge before leaving the vehicle to enter Borough Market, where they stabbed multiple people. Seven people were killed in the attack and scores more injured.
The release of the names comes as police conduct raids throughout the city following the attack. Twelve people have been arrested in the investigation so far.
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria on Sunday claimed responsibility.
