Democrats slam GOP for China-made Trump softball

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is going after Republicans for bringing a Trump-themed softball made in China to a game between the two parties’ national committees.

“No surprise, the Trump softball the @GOP brought to tonight’s DNC vs. RNC softball game is made in China!” the DNC’s press account tweeted late Wednesday, referring to the Republican National Committee (RNC).

The tweet included a photo of the softball, which said “Trump” on it.

RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel posted on Twitter that she was cheering on her “all-star” team.

He has in the past faced backlash for the overseas production of Trump-branded products.

Earlier this month, a report found products in Ivanka Trump’s clothing line were made abroad exclusively and then shipped to the U.S.

The clothing and accessories in her line were found to have been largely made in factories in countries such as India, Bangladesh and China.
