Israeli court orders Netanyahu to disclose calls with GOP donor Sheldon Adelson

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is currently the subject of a corruption probe, must disclose phone logs with U.S. billionaire Sheldon Adelson.

The Associated Press reported on Monday that Israel’s Supreme Court determined Netanyahu must release the calls with Adelson and a former editor of the Israeli newspaper he owns.

News of the ruling comes as police conduct a corruption probe involving Netanyahu, who is being investigated for crimes related to bribes, fraud and breach of trust, the report said.

{mosads}Adelson, a casino mogul who met with President Trump during the transition and donated $5 million to support his inauguration, has been a longtime donor to Republican campaigns.

He also owns an Israeli newspaper that has backed Netanyahu’s government.

According to the AP report, police are investigating Netanyahu in two cases, one involving an alleged attempt to strike a deal for more favorable coverage with a rival newspaper to Adelson’s.

Netanyahu has denied the allegations.
