Jacksonville storm surge sets record
The storm surge flooding in downtown Jacksonville, Fla., has set a new record, according to the National Weather Service.

The previous record was set in 1964 during Hurricane Dora.

Hurricane Irma on Monday was downgraded to a tropical storm but continues to batter the region with high winds and flooding.
Millions of people are without power in the storm’s wake.
