Clinton: ‘What better time is there’ to talk about gun control?

Hillary Clinton on Tuesday called for gun control, saying it’s not too early to discuss “real, meaningful action” in the wake of the Las Vegas mass shooting.

“I’m devastated by what happened in Las Vegas,” she said during an appearance in Florida as part of the “Hillary Clinton Live” tour, according to the Sun Sentinel.

The former Democratic presidential nominee then went after Republicans who say it is too soon to discuss gun control.

“I have to tell you, what better time is there,” she said.

Fifty-eight people died and hundreds more were injured when a gunman opened fire on an outdoor country music festival in Las Vegas late Sunday in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

Many Democratic lawmakers have since called for gun control legislation.

After the shooting, Clinton tweeted that “our grief is not enough.” She called for people to put politics aside and stand up to the National Rifle Association to prevent future attacks.
