Seth Meyers mocks Trump: You’ve never heard anyone describe your hair or net worth as ‘fake?’
“Late Night” host Seth Meyers on Monday mocked President Trump after the president said one of the greatest terms he’s come up with is “fake.”
“Now Trump has in the past claimed that he invented the term ‘fake news’ which he did not, but as he continued to attack the media for criticizing his Puerto Rico response, on Saturday, he went even further, claiming that he, Donald Trump, came up with the word ‘fake,'” the NBC host said.
“Sorry, what? You never noticed anyone use the word ‘fake’ before? You never heard anyone describe your hair, tan, university, foundation, net worth, marriages or business?
{mosads}”For a while I thought he might be illiterate, maybe he’s just deaf,” Meyers said.
Trump made the claim during a recent interview with TBN host Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor and one of more than a dozen Republicans bested by Trump in last year’s GOP primary.
“I think one of the greatest of all terms I’ve come up with is ‘fake,’ ” Trump told Huckabee. “I guess other people have used it, perhaps over the years, but I’ve never noticed it.”
Trump’s remarks came as he defended his administration from criticism following the response to the crisis in Puerto Rico. He said the media coverage of the trip was unfair.
