Scaramucci: ‘You’ve got to have a zero tolerance policy on Nazis’

Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci in a new interview apologized for a Holocaust poll gaffe and said he has a “zero tolerance policy” on Nazis.

“The fact that they’re even out there is a sign that something’s wrong,” Scaramucci told The Jerusalem Post.

“You’ve got to have a zero tolerance policy on Nazis.”

The comments come after a Twitter account linked to Scaramucci posted an online poll last week asking how many Jews were killed during the Holocaust.

The Scaramucci Post’s Twitter poll was initially removed after it spurred backlash on social media. The outlet apologized if it offended anyone and said its goal was to highlight ignorance about the Holocaust.

The poll was then relaunched last Friday. When it was reposted, Scaramucci and partner Lance Laifer, a hedge fund manager, explained why they decided to relaunch the poll.

“The purpose of the poll was to let people know that the memory of this tragedy is fading,” The Scaramucci Post said. “We are putting the poll back up because if it helps educate even just one person it will have been a worthwhile endeavor for us.”

Scaramucci told the Jerusalem newspaper the outlet could have done a better job “contextualizing it before putting it out there.”

He also spoke out strongly against neo-Nazis.

“I find it absolutely reprehensible and offensive that there are people walking around with swastikas on their arms in the United States,” he said.
