Ginsburg officiated a wedding over the weekend
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg officiated a wedding outdoors over the weekend for a family friend, a spokesperson for the court confirmed Monday.
A photo of Ginsburg officiating the wedding was tweeted Monday by the bride, National Alliance on Mental Illness director of marketing and communications Barb Solish.
“2020 has been rough, but yesterday was Supreme,” she tweeted, along with the photo.
“And don’t worry, we tested negative!,” she added, seemingly referring to COVID-19.

It appears to be the first photo of Ginsburg in public since she announced last month that she has been undergoing chemotherapy due to a recurrence of liver cancer.
Ginsburg, 87, in a statement last month said she had been undergoing the treatment since May. She said it has been “yielding positive results.”
It is the fifth time the liberal justice has been treated for cancer. She declared in January that she was cancer-free months after completing treatment for a malignant tumor on her pancreas the previous summer.
