Fox News’s Bret Baier posts vaccination selfie
Fox News host Bret Baier took to social media Friday to document his COVID-19 vaccination experience, giving a thumb’s up to the camera in the process.
“Vaccinated & ready to go,” Baier captioned the photo he posted on Instagram.
The “Special Report with Bret Baier” host thanked the D.C. nursing staff who assisted with the process.
“Thanks to the great staff in DC -it was very smooth. The nurse said they’ll see one thousand DC residents today at this one location.”
He concluded the message with the hashtags #grateful and #vaccinated.
Fox News personality Dana Perino also posted a photo Friday documenting her COVID-19 vaccine.
“Second shot in the arm,” the political commentator wrote. “Let’s go, America!”

The posts are just the latest from anchors and reporters at Fox News highlighting their vaccinations.
They come the same week Fox News host Tucker Carlson came under criticism for remarks he made on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Monday that appeared to question whether the COVID-19 vaccines work.
Carlson questioned why guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended that vaccinated people continue to wear masks and conform to social distancing guidelines if the vaccines work.
“If the vaccine is effective, there is no reason for people who have received the vaccine to wear masks or avoid physical contact,” Carlson said. “So maybe it doesn’t work and they’re simply not telling you that.”
Those remarks were criticized by those who said they could contribute to conservatives not taking the COVID-19 vaccine. Polls show Republicans and conservatives are less likely to take COVID-19 vaccines than Democrats.
“I don’t want to get into arguments about Tucker Carlson, but to me it’s just counter to what we’re trying to accomplish to protect the safety and the health of the American public,” Anthony Fauci, the director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said when asked about Carlson’s remarks during a Tuesday appearance on CNN.
Several other Fox News personalities have shared posts promoting the COVID-19 vaccine or mentioned it on-air, including John Roberts, Charlie Gasparino, Susan Li, Laura Ingle and Guy Benson.
