Former Reps. Bradley, Ryun to run again

Former Reps. Jeb Bradley (R-N.H.) and Jim Ryun (R-Kan.) both plan to avenge their upset losses last November and run for their old seats again in 2008.

Bradley told the crowd at the New Hampshire GOP’s annual meeting that he would run, according to an official at the state party. Ryun’s decision has been reported by several news outlets.

Bradley, who garnered more than 48 percent of the vote, lost to relative newcomer Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D), who won with 51 percent. Ryun, in one of Election Day’s biggest surprises, fell to now-Rep. Nancy Boyda (D) 51-47.

A spokesman for Shea-Porter said “she welcomes the competition.”

Boyda’s office did not return calls by press time.
