Hacker to Capitol Hill
Mike Hacker, who has worked for the past three years at Quinn Gillespie & Associates, is leaving to become the director of coalitions for new Democratic Whip James Clyburn of South Carolina.
“The prospect of working for a Democratic majority was too much to resist,” said Hacker in an e-mail yesterday. He had previously been a Hill staff aide for 11 years.
He isn’t the only lobbyist who has left for the chance to help run things on Capitol Hill. Daniel Turton, formerly of Timmons & Co., recently left that job to be the staff director to the House Rules Committee.
