Warner, Levin hold hearing on Baker-Hamilton findings
The chairman and ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee are planning to hold a hearing Thursday on the bipartisan Iraq Study Group’s findings.
Sens. John Warner (R-Va.) and Carl Levin (D-Mich.) wrote a joint letter Monday to the co-chairman of the group, James Baker, and former Rep. Lee Hamilton (D-Ind.) to invite them to an open hearing. The group’s much-anticipated report is expected to be released on Wednesday.
The senators’ letter renewed an invitation to appear before the committee that they made to the commission in October.
