Baca declares for CHC chair
Rep. Joe Baca (D-Calif.) officially declared his interest in chairing the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) next year. Writing Thursday to his 20 colleagues in the all-Democratic group, Baca said serving the Hispanic community had “always been my life’s passion.”
“I will bring both an experienced hand and a new vision to the chairmanship and ask that you be a part of this bold and exciting future,” Baca wrote.
Baca is expected to face competition from Rep. Nydia Vel
