Ariz. GOP candidates lash out at NRCC
Four of the five candidates running in Arizona’s 8th District Republican primary issued a joint statement Tuesday denouncing the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) for its support of the fifth candidate, Steve Huffman, in the Sept. 12 primary.
In the release, candidates Frank Antenori, Randy Graf, Mike Hellon and Mike Jenkins accused the committee of going back on its promise to support whomever the voters choose in the primary.
“This primary campaign should remain above the belt and outside the Beltway,” they said.
In response, NRCC spokesman Ed Patru said only, “Noted.”
