House Dems to get briefing at DCCC
House Democrats are holding their weekly caucus meeting at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) tomorrow to hear a presentation on their political prospects.
DCCC Chairman Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.) presented polling to Democrats several weeks ago that showed six districts where the Democratic candidate was winning and six more where the candidates were in a dead heat, according to several attendees at an earlier caucus meeting.
Attendance at tomorrow’s meeting is mandatory, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) indicated in a recent letter to her colleagues. The group is also expected to discuss Social Security and Medicare’s prescription-drug benefit.
